Need help setting up macro key

Not clear what you want. Do you want a macro key to do some set of key strokes within a particular application, or do you want a macro key that launches a certain application?

Dear Ron: I'm not sure what it's called, but what I want to do is enter information on for instance) a sweepstakes entry form, then use a simple macro key to enter it daily without having to fill in all the information again. Lillian

It occurred to me that I forgot to ask if you've tried the auto-complete feature in your browser. For example in IE6,
Click Tools>Internet Options
Click Content tab
Click Auto-Complete button
Put check in "Forms" box.

If you need more help, click Help>Contents & Index on IE toolbar
Search for keyword: forms

If you use a different browser, it probably has a similar type of setting but you'll have to look for them yourself.

I looked, and the "Forms" box was already checked. How do I use that to automatically fill in forms? Lillian

From IE6 Help:
"In either the Address bar, a field on a Web page, or a box for a user name or password, start typing the information. If you've typed a similar entry before, AutoComplete lists possible matches as you type.

If a suggestion in the list matches what you want to enter in that field, click the suggestion. If no suggestion matches what you are typing, continue typing.

Notes:
The information used for suggested matches is stored on your computer and is encrypted to protect your privacy. Web sites cannot gain access to this information. They can receive only what you explicitly enter in forms."

Don't use this IE feature, so this is the best I can do. Hope it's helpful

This feature doesn't work. If I type the first letter in each box, it shows me possible words to choose from. It doesn't fill in the form as I was hoping. Thanks anyway. Lillian
