Nvidia FX go 5200 Driver Problems...

I have just clean installed Windows XP pro on my Inspiron 5150 laptop. I have been trying to install a nice crispy clean display driver for the "Nvidia FX go 5200" and every time I try Windows refuses to install it. It is the latest Nvidia Forceware driver 77.72 that I was trying to install as I thought all Nividia drivers were compatible with all Nvidia cards. Is there separate drivers for mobile graphics cards that I need ?????

Windows may flasdh warning bells and whistles but it will not refuse to install a driver, even if it's the wrong one.

Having said that, I suggest you use the Dell driver. Especially for laptops, driver compatibility is very important. Can you find the download, or do you need help?

The thing is mobile users have to use the driver released by DELL.

http://www.tweaksrus.com/index.php is a website that provides HOMEMADE nvidia drivers for mobile users.

I am still using 67.42 for my fx go 5200, and no problem so far (I don't belive that new forceware would MAKE big differences on 5200 cards)

Hope it helps
