outlook express problems

I installed a new HD and am running XP media. I installed the chipset driver, sound, and ethernet driver.Everything seems to be fine accept my outlook express. When I contacted my ISP provider they informed me that all my settings were good. Any ideas as to what the problem may be? Thank You.My computer is a dimension 3100.

It won't allow me send. I can open OE and receive mail but am unable to send. I figured that it was a problem with the outgoing settings but according to my ISP they are correct.

Do you have dial up?

I presume there are no error codes?

Do you have any programs which might interfere, such as norton, third party firewall.etc,?

Check your configuration.

Also check this.

"The problem sending mail may be due to a corrupted outbox. You can delete the outbox and allow the software to generate a new one. Warning: Deleting an outbox will destroy any mail that is currently in the outbox."

PLZ check the setting  like Email address , ISP  , incomming and outgoing mail server details from your acout properties  and reply with those .

Also make sure none of your AntiVirus or Antispyware programs are running an email scanner- if so disable it.
