Remove Windows XP Sevice Pack 2

Question

Hi all,   I am desperately trying to find some ways to remove service pack 2 from my computer. My computer is a dell inspiron D505.  I've tried the add remove programs way, but it doesn't work, it says it is already unistalled.  Does anyone know how to remove it?   Thanks

I did the recovery console on my computer.   sp2 bogged my machine down and when going into the device manager, it couldn't find it and would restart my session...
