Virtual Memory low when switching to SP1

Due to some installation problems with SP2 (Installshield and getting stuck at "Publishing Product Information", I decided to downgrade to SP1 to get everything to work again. Before I installed SP2, 1 worked fine. Now, after I uninstall SP2, it takes a few reboots to recognize all my hardware, and it keeps giving me errors about being low on virtual memory, and eventually telling me the computer is shutting down because NT AUTHORITY\SYSTEM has quit the RCP process. Can someone tell me what's going on with the memory and RCP issues? (Or tell me how to fix the problem with Installshield, perferrably)

umm ...  how exactly did you downgrade to SP1?  did the SP2 install ever finish?

you *might* need to do a fresh install, but try a system restore if you haven't

The SP2 install finished (It was installed a few months ago). I changed by uninstalling SP2 from Add/Remove Programs. I already have restored back to SP2 after trying to downgrade, or are you talking about a System Restore from the date that I installed it?
