Dell Technologies Accessibility Statement


The Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) define the success criteria for digital experiences to be perceivable, operable, understandable and robust. It defines three levels of conformance: Level A, Level AA, and Level AAA. Dell Technologies is partially conformant with WCAG version 2.2, Level AA. Our goal is for our digital properties to meet Level AA standards, WCAG’s recommended level of conformance.

Accessibility Standards for Third-Party Suppliers


We want to make sure that the best technology is available to everyone, no matter where they are. At Dell Technologies we are turning this vision into reality by designing digital experiences that are inclusive, equitable and accessible for all. That means making sure that our partners understand our accessibility goals and requirements.

Dell Standards for Third-Party Suppliers

All suppliers working with Dell are required to comply with the accessibility requirements outlined in the Dell Technologies Supplier Principles (pdf). These requirements are in line with Dell’s policy to build inclusive digital products and experiences. 

To ensure you are identifying which success criteria apply to the scope of the product or service, we recommend that you use the World Wide Web Consortium’s How to Meet WCAG (Quick Reference). Filtering can be done by WCAG version (2.2, Level AA), role and component to show the applicable criteria to meet.

VPATs and Accessibility Conformance Reports

As part of Dell’s vendor onboarding process, Dell requests VPATs from Suppliers

A Voluntary Product Accessibility Template (VPAT®) is a document that evaluates how accessible a product is according to the accessibility guidelines set forth by WCAG 2.2, Level AA. It is a self-disclosing document produced by the vendor or supplier that details how the product’s functionality supports accessibility requirements.

The completed template is an Accessibility Conformance Report, or ACR, and documents the level of conformance for a specific product or service. However, many people commonly refer to the ACR as the “VPAT” and this is an acceptable usage of the terms as they are interchangeable.
