Dell Command | Update


Dell Command | Update is a standalone application, for client systems, that provides updates for system software that is released by Dell. This application simplifies the BIOS, firmware, driver, and application update experience for Dell client hardware. This application can also be used to install drivers after the operating system and network drivers are installed based on the system identity.

You can use Dell Repository Manager (v.2.2.4) to create a local repository of updates that Dell Command | Update uses.
Ensure that you have the previous version of the repository manager (v.2.2) installed before installing the v.2.2.4 patch update above.

Recommendations: Dell highly recommends applying the latest Dell Command | Update during your next scheduled update cycle. Updates contain feature enhancements or changes that improve the reliability and availability of your system.

  • Improvements on the self-update process.
  • Includes support for the Windows Operating System when Federal Information Processing Standards (FIPS) are enabled.
  • Corrected an issue where dcu-cli.exe does not run in a PowerShell remote interactive session.
Note: There is no user guide for version DCU 3.1.2 or DCU 3.1.3. You can refer to the DCU 3.1.1 user guide for reference.
