vSphere Quick Boot is an innovation in conjunction with major server vendors that restarts the VMware ESXi™ hypervisor without rebooting the physical host, skipping time-consuming hardware initialization. Skipping Hardware initialization enables vSphere Quick Boot feature to perform faster software upgrades for ESXi.
