Getting Started: Connect to a Network

Let us show you how to connect your new Windows PC to the internet using an ethernet or network cable, or to a nearby Wi-Fi network.

Chapter 01: Connect to a Wireless Network

To connect to a wireless network, select the network icon on the bottom right corner of the taskbar. This will open the quick settings menu. Click on the ‘Manage Wi-Fi connections’ button to open the Wi-Fi settings. Choose your network and click on ‘Connect’. Type in the network password and select ‘Next’. Having trouble? Chapter 02: Connect to a Wired Network

A wired internet connection allows for a fast connection. Plug one end of the ethernet cable into your router and then connect the other end to your computer’s ethernet port. If you’re having trouble connecting with an ethernet cable, click on the link in the description.
