Before you begin. Turn off the computer and disconnect all the attached peripherals to remove the solid state. Drive 2280. Unlatch and remove the base cover from the system. Then unlatch and remove the front bezel. Identify the hard drive caddy and unplug the cables to remove the caddy from the system. Find the disc drive cage and disconnect the cables.
Unlatch and slide the cage out of the system. Flip the cage over and disconnect the cables. Remove the cage from the system. Find and unlatch the graphics card to remove it from the system. Lift the Dell Ultra Speed Drive Gen3 out of the system. Find the base support bracket and remove the two screws to remove the bracket from the system.
Identify the solid state drive and remove the screws, securing it. Remove the drive from the system to reinstall the solid state. Drive 2280. Place it back in the system and secure it with the screw. Secure the base support bracket with the two screws.
Reinsert the Dell Ultra Speed Drive Gen3 and relax the graphics card to the system. Place the disc drive cage back in the system and reconnect the cables. Flip the cage over and slide it into place.
Relax the cage to the system and reconnect the cables. Place the hard drive caddy back in the system and reconnect the cables. Relax the front bezel and base cover to the system.
