ECS: Minimum Requirements for Triggering PSO, TSO, and Remove VDC from a Replication Group

Triggering Permanent Site Outage (PSO), Temporary Site Outage (TSO), and Remove a VDC from a Replication Group in ECS are covered in the ECS Administration guide.

  • For the following: PSOs and Remove VDC from a Replication Group:
    • Customer Support team must be contacted before proceeding.
    • It is advised to reach out as early as possible during the planning phase.
    • Support team then review and advise. Action should not proceed without support approval.
  • For TSO:
    • The version of ECS code should be minimum ECS 3.8.1.x. If ECS is running on a lower code version, then upgrade before performing "TSO".
    • Open an "Operating Environment Upgrade" Service Request (SR) to upgrade your VDC. The recommendation is to upgrade to Target Code or newer.
