PowerPath Management Appliance: Seeing PPMA plugin from other node of the ELM (Enhanced Linked Mode) setup

In the ELM (Enhanced Linked Mode) setup, multiple PPMA plugins appear under "Client Plugins" section in vCenter GUI.

In this case, this is how the setup looked like:

Site 1 -- PPMA 3.2 plugin shows as Deployed/Enabled but 3.2.0.1 shows as Failed  (Site 1 has PPMA 3.2)
Site 2 -- PPMA 3.2 plugin shows as Deployed/Enabled but 3.2.0.1 shows as Failed  ( Site 2 has PPMA 3.2.0.1 )
Site 3 -- Working fine with PPMA 3.2                                                                            (Site 3 has PPMA 3.2)


All these 3 sites are hosting different datacenters and has individual PPMA.

We tried reproducing the scenario in-house and this is what we see:

-- Created an ELM setup with 2 sites
-- Site 1 configured with PPMA 3.2 P01
-- Site 2 configured with PPMA 3.3

While adding the corresponding vCenters to the respective PPMA, we notice that both the vCenter GUIs are showing just PPMA v3.3 plugin under "Client Plugins" which does narrow it down to some kind of replication on-going at the plugin level. But the PPMA plugin shortcut launches the respective PPMA GUI shortcut only.

We are discussing this internally with Engineering/Dev team and might get more clarity from VMware on the expected behavior in ELM setup.

Note: There is no functionality impact due to this and more like a cosmetic glitch.

In this very case, all the respective PPMAs were upgraded to the same version v3.3 post which we could see consistency across all the sites.
