Minimum Hardware Requirements

  • Intel Pentium or AMD Processor
  • 110 MB of free disk space
  • 512 MB RAM
Note: More free disk space is required to encrypt the files on the endpoint. This size varies based on policies and size of drive.

Network Requirements

Entitlements (Licensing) require outbound communication to cloud.dell.com over port 443.

External Media Requirements

Peripheral storage devices that are protected by Dell Encryption External Media require:

  • 55 MB + free disk space equal to the largest file size
  • Plug and Play identifier
  • File System:
    • FAT32
    • exFAT
    • NTFS

Software Requirements

Dell Encryption Personal and storage devices that are protected by Dell Encryption External Media are based on the product version. Click the appropriate product version for specific software requirements.
