Instructions

Some networks require the use of a CA-signed certificate to allow their network communication. To import this certificate, open the certificate file (.cer extension) in Windows and copy the entire chain in the certificate.
  1. Create a .crt file. The file extension must be .crt.
# nano <FILENAME>.crt
or
# vi <FILENAME>.crt
  1. Paste the full chain string that was copied from the .cer file.
  2. Copy the crt file to the correct directory:
# sudo cp <FILENAME>.crt /usr/local/share/ca-certificates/
  1. Update the certificates:
# sudo update-ca-certificates -v
