Symptoms
There are times when ECS or CTA upgrades are done in the client's environment without seeing the CTA interoperability matrix. This may result in an unsupported client setup. This KB article provides guidance to the CTA interoperability matrix based on the CTA versions. The CTA interoperability matrix is the ideal document to review before performing ECS/CTA upgrades.
Cause
Upgrades have been performed without seeing or consulting the CTA interoperability matrix.
Resolution
- CTA 13 is compatible with ECS 3.4.x and 3.5.x. See the CTA and CTA-VE 13.0 Interoperability Matrix.
- CTA 13.1 is compatible with ECS 3.4.x, 3.5.x and 3.6.x. See the CTA and CTA-VE 13.1 Interoperability Matrix.
- CTA 13.2 is compatible with ECS S3 and CAS 3.4.x, 3.5.x, 3.6.x, 3.7.x, 3.8.x. See the CTA-and-CTA/VE-13.2-Interoperability-Matrix.
