Dell Unity 支持文件系统用户配额、配额树和配额树用户配额。所有三种类型的配额可以共存于同一个文件系统上，并且可以结合使用以实现对存储使用情况的更精细的控制。
配额树限制文件系统中特定目录的最大大小。与逐个用户应用和跟踪的用户配额不同，配额树应用于文件系统中的目录。在 Dell Unity 上，配额树可以应用于新目录或现有目录。
配额树不能嵌套在单个目录中。例如，如果在 /directory1 上创建配额树，则不能在 /directory1/subdirectory1 上创建另一个配额树。但是，可以在 /directory2、/directory3 等目录中创建配额树。创建配额树后，还可以在该特定目录中创建其他用户配额。与文件系统级别的用户配额一样，管理员可以选择强制实施特定于此目录的用户配额，并为目录设置默认配额限制。
