Instructions
First, identify the unused/offline port currently holding the license with the below command.
license --show -port
switch:admin> license --show -port
Note: Ports indicated by * are held by offline ports.
To reserve a port:
license --reserve -port [port_num | port_num_range]
switch:admin> license --reserve -port 1
To release a port:
license --release -port [port_num | port_num_range]
switch:admin> license --release -port 1
license --show -port
switch:admin> license --show -port
Note: Ports indicated by * are held by offline ports.
To reserve a port:
license --reserve -port [port_num | port_num_range]
switch:admin> license --reserve -port 1
To release a port:
license --release -port [port_num | port_num_range]
switch:admin> license --release -port 1
Additional Information
licenseport command has been deprecated in FOS 9.0.x
