Nach dem Starten des Client-Tools für die NativeEdge-Servicekonsole und der Eingabe der MAC-Adresse des NativeEdge-enabled Devices wird die folgende Meldung angezeigt:

Die NativeEdge-Servicekonsole verwendet Layer-2-basierte Konnektivität zwischen dem Client und dem NativeEdge-Endpunkt. Wenn auf dem Clientcomputer, von dem aus das Servicekonsolentool gestartet wird, mehrere Netzwerke konfiguriert sind, kann der Nutzer die Netzwerkschnittstelle auf dem Clientcomputer auswählen, die für die Verbindung mit dem NativeEdge-Endpunkt verwendet wird, d. h. die Schnittstelle auf dem Clientcomputer, die sich im L2-Netzwerk befindet, als NativeEdge-Endpunkt auswählen.
