Connectrix: Unable to Edit Node Hostname on NDFC Server

Summary: Unable to edit node hostname on Nexus Dashboard Fabric Controller (NDFC) Server UI as there is no option to filter or edit the names assigned to the node.

Instructions

The Nexus Dashboard was deployed on the Virtual Machine (VM) on ESXi Server.

Navigation on NDFC to check the nodes listed:
  • Admin Console > System Resources > Nodes 
There are two options to edit the node hostname:
  • There is no way to edit the node hostname after it is deployed, The only way to edit the hostname node is to redeploy the cluster (running 'acs reboot factory-reset') and then go through the cluster build again.
  • If redeployment is not an option, the VMware Team can change the VM name at the vCenter level.
