Symptoms

在使用 VSI 10.7 版及更舊版本嘗試從 VCenter 進行 VM 復原測試時，VMWare 錯誤可能會回報錯誤：」無法完成操作。請參閱事件記錄以了解詳細資訊。由於無法檢測到臨時 VM 大小，因此將清理用於 VM 還原的臨時資源。」

Cause

受影響的版本：

  • PowerStoreOS：任何版本
  • vSphere：任何版本
  •  虛擬儲存裝置整合器：  VSI 1.7 及更低版本

 

如果在 PowerStore 快照期間執行的 VM 需要系統無法管理分配的空間來復原系統。  在已關閉電源的 VM 上進行的部分測試也證實了此說法。 

Resolution

此問題將在未來的 VSI 版本 （10.8 或更新版本） 中解決。   當 VMware vSphere Web Client 適用的更新 VSI 可透過 dell.com/support 下載時，本文將會更新

 

因應措施：

  • 在所需的虛擬機器還原日期，從 PowerStore 手動建立檢視磁碟區。
  • 在 VCenter 中以新簽名掛接 VMFS 
  • 將 VM 移至復原磁碟區 
  • 取消掛接並刪除 View 磁碟區
