In environments where the DPA Application Server is accessible, the simplest method to retrieve the Software ID (SWID) is through the DPA web interface.
This approach requires no command-line interaction and can be completed in a few steps using a standard web browser:

- Navigate to the SWID Endpoint: In the address bar, enter the following URL, replacing <DPA_FQDN_OR_IP> with the fully qualified domain name or IP address of your DPA server.
https://<DPA_FQDN_OR_IP>:9002/dpa-api/license/swids - Authentication: When prompted, enter your DPA credentials.
Username: administratorPassword: your DPA administrator password - Download the SWID File: Upon successful authentication, the browser downloads a file containing the SWID. This file is typically saved to your desktop or default downloads folder.
- Verify the SWID Content: Open the downloaded file using a text editor. A valid SWID entry appears similar to the following:
<licenseSwid>XXXXXXXXXXXX</licenseSwid>
