OptiPlex All-in-One Computers Running Dell ThinOS 9 do not Detect SD Cards When Inserted

There are two SD card reader models used in the OptiPlex AIO computers, Realtek and Genesys. Realtek is used primarily and Genesys is an alternate.
Most OptiPlex AIO computers use the Realtek SD card reader and function as designed. There is a limited number of OptiPlex AIO computers that use the Genesys SD card reader, and the SD card is not detected when inserted.
Cause
The ThinOS kernel was updated to a newer version in ThinOS 2405 and later. The Genesys SD card reader has a compatibility issue with the new ThinOS kernel.
Resolution
A fix will be included in the ThinOS 2505 which is scheduled to be released in May 2025.
