Symptoms

NetWorker Module for Meditech version 19.10 or higher

NMMedi GUI is kept open for convenience for more than a month.

At one point it caused the backup failure and in nsrmedisv.raw the following errors were reported:

Cause

NMMedi GUI slowly consumes memory and in one case it consume more than 40 GB over a period of month and a half.

Resolution

  1. Workaround is to keep NMMedi GUI closed and open it when required.
  2. A fix for NMMedi GUI memory leak is tentatively planned for versions 19.14, 19.13.0.3 and 19.12.0.4.
