VxRail: During a VxRail Deployment Validation: "Please wait for the previous instance to complete"

Symptoms

During Validation, VxRail Manager presents error "Please wait for the previous instance to complete."

Cause

If the VxRail validation has not been completed successfully the first time, this error will display on any next attempts.
 

Resolution

  1. Log in to the iDRAC console of the host VxRail Manager is running on and log in using the root user.
  2. Power off the VxRail Manager. 
    vxrail-primary --stop
  3. Destroy VxRail Manager using ESXi DCUI command. 
    vxrail-primary --destroy
  4. Reboot the ESXi Host.  
  5. Set up VxRail Manager again using command: 
    vxrail-primary --setup
  6. Continue with the Solve steps: Set VxRM IP again to get into the Deployment Wizard and perform deployment steps.
    If the issue persists, run the VxRail Manager on another node; this should resolve the issue.
