Cause
PowerDVD does not stop mouse activity. The computer registers the mouse event if the mouse moves or clicks during video playback. If the computer manually enters modern standby while the mouse is moved or clicked, the computer resumes or fails to enter modern standby.
Resolution
This is expected behavior.
