Symptoms
During a vProtect inventory synchronization, it is unable to discover some of the VMs.
Running the following OpenStack command to list VMs on the OpenStack side, also fails to show them.

openstack server list --all
If we add a parameter as shown below, the missing VMs are listed.
openstack server list --all --limt -1Cause
By default, OpenStack has limits on the responses sent by the nova API to 1000 entries per response.
Resolution
Solution 1:
Upgrade vProtect to 19.13.0.520 or later. This release has an enhancement that enables it to discover all the VMs.

Increase the limit value on OpenStack. Engage OpenStack Support for assistance.

This is achieved by editing the nova.conf file which is located in the /etc/nova/nova.conf.
Add the following line to the [DEFAULT] section.
Example (increasing the limit to 5000):
After modifying the file, restart the nova services.
