Symptoms

When an external camera is connected to the system and is set to a 180-degree rotation. When the camera preview is opened, there will be nothing shown.

Affected Systems:

  • Dell 14 Premium DA14250

Cause

This is caused by a Windows issue.

Resolution

External Camera Preview

This issue only happens when the external camera is set to a 180-degree rotation. If it is set to 90 degrees, it shows a preview.

Windows Hotfix

Microsoft has released Hotfix KB5053656 to fix this issue. Run Windows Update to fix this issue.
