Symptoms

Det här problemet kan orsaka onormal förbrukning av operativsystemets filsystemsutrymme på en Avamar Utility Node eller ett system med en nod.

/data01-partitionen fylls på grund av att många stora, gamla filer finns kvar i katalogerna /usr/local/avamar/var/mc/server_tmp och /usr/local/avamar/var/client.  

Exempel:
Utdata nedan visar att katalogen /usr/local/avamar/var/mc/server_tmp innehåller >2 700 .tgz-filer , var och en normal storlek på 66 MB och standard från mars 2015 till maj 2012.

Dessa loggfiler omfattas inte av några principer för kvarhållande eller rotation. På grund av den stora storleken kan de förbruka mycket utrymme i /data01-partitionen . När /data01 närmar sig kapacitet blir Avamar till slut oanvändbar.

Cause

Befintliga loggrotationsprinciper tar inte hänsyn till innehållet i /usr/local/avamar/var/mc/server_tmp eller /usr/local/avamar/var/client/.

Resolution

Workaround:
Arbeta med support för att ta bort överflödiga loggfiler och få tillbaka systemet i produktion.

Upplösning:
Uppgradera till Avamar v7.3 där det här beteendet har åtgärdats.
