Symptoms

Cuando se intenta reemplazar un nodo MDM subordinado por un nodo en espera, aparece el siguiente error en el registro de eventos:

22892 2017-10-03 07:50:21.908 CLI_COMMAND_FAILED        WARNING          Command REPLACE_CLUSTER_MDM was not successful. Error code: The MDM could not be found [3982]

El comando utilizado fue:

#scli --replace_cluster_mdm --add_slave_mdm_name Manager2 --remove_slave_mdm_name Manager3 --allow_leave_failed --i_am_sure

Donde query all se vería de la siguiente manera:

#scli --query_cluster

Cause

No había ningún paquete de MDM instalado en el nodo en espera.

Resolution

Quite el nodo en espera:

#scli --remove_standby_mdm --remove_mdm_name Manager2

Install the MDM package on the standby mode - for svm: 

#MDM_ROLE_IS_MANAGER=1 rpm -i < package >

Add the standby node back to the cluster:

#scli --add_standby_mdm --mdm_role manager --new_mdm_ip x.x.x.x,x.x.x.x --new_mdm_name Manager2 --new_mdm_management_ip x.x.x.x

Then run the '--replace_cluster_mdm ' command again.
