PowerEdge: DHCP tool allocates iDRAC IP and exports TSR logs

NOTE: This method is only applicable when DHCP is enabled, if DHCP of iDRAC is disabled (static IP is configured), use other methods to export TSR logs.

Environmental requirements
- The server remains powered on.
- Management machine (notebook) + network cable, directly connected to the iDRAC management port of the server (Figure 11 location), the location of the iDRAC management port is different for different models, and the management port will have an iDRAC logo.

Specific steps:
- Configure a static IP address on the local NIC of the management machine, for example: 192.168.11.10
Win+R shortcut key to open the Run Command Line window, enter control, open Control Panel - Network and Sharing Center, open the change adapter settings on the left to the following interface, double-click or right-click the selected properties to enter the TCP/IPv4 settings interface.
- Extract the downloaded DHCP tool and run the dhcpwiz.exe (as administrator).
- Select the network port of the local DHCP server and click Next.
- Configure the CIDR block to be assigned by DHCP, as shown in the following figure, using the CIDR block 192.168.11.1-254 as an example.
- Click Write ini file. (Check Overwrite existing file and click Write INI file)

- Enable the DHCP server. (Check Run DHCP server immediatly, click Admin...)

- Ensure that the DHCP service status is Running. (Click Install, Start, and ensure Status: Running )
- The IP address obtained is the first IP address assigned: 192.168.11.1. You can try to ping this IP, if not, try to reseat the network cable connected to the iDRAC.
- Use a browser (IE/ Edge /Google Chrome/ Firefox) to enter the iDRAC IP: 192.168.11.1. It will remind you that your link is not a dedicated link, so let's click on Advanced ->just continue accessing.
NOTE: iDRAC account: root initial password: calvin Or there will be an iDRAC DEFAULT PASSWORD indicator in the middle of the back of the server service tag below the barcode.
10. Login success screen.
NOTE: If the IP cannot be pinged after waiting for about 30 seconds after re-seating the network cable, you can try and hold the i lamp for 15 seconds to restart the iDRAC to regain the IP information.
If you still can't get it correctly, you can try another method.
