Symptoms
After changing the hostname of an SQL server, DDBEA cannot detect the new hostname.
Cause
Windows OS registry is still showing the old hostname.
Resolution
- Update the new hostname in the configuration file and re-register the lockbox.
- If step 1 did not resolve the issue, make a brand-new install of DDBMA.
- If step 2 did not resolve the issue, search the keyword of the old hostname in the Windows OS registry, you might find there are some entry still using the old hostname. Ask the customer to engage the OS/SQL team to fix the registry.
