The save operation on a large NetWorker client file system fails with a timeout error.

The session is closed by the operating system. During a large backup some functions may appear to be taking longer than expected, the system closes (aborts) the session due to an expected timeout.

Apply the recommended kernel parameters that are documented in the NetWorker Performance Optimization and Planning Guide.

These settings should be applied on the NetWorker server and any NetWorker client where save operations are aborting due to timeout.
