Dell Computers Cannot Boot to a USB 3.0 Optical Disk Drive

Affected Platforms:
- Latitude 7455
- XPS 13 9345
- Inspiron 14 Plus 7441
Cause
USB 3.0 ODDs are not supported in UEFI on the current platforms.
Resolution
The computer is working as designed.
Workaround:
- Connect any USB 3.0 ODD using one of the below:
- USB 2.0 plug adapter
- USB 2.0 Hub
- Use a USB 2.0 ODD, like a DELL DW316
