Data Protection Advisor: Summarize NetWorker Clients based on Backup Type

Instructions

  1. Log in to DPA as administrator.
  2. Navigate to Reports > Report Templates > System Report Templates tab. And select "Backup Client Count By OS Type" template and click "SAVE AS CUSTOM TEMPLATE."
  1. In the "Create Custom Template" window, type a name in the Name field. For example, "Backup Client Count By Backup Type"
  1. Select Summarize operator and expand the Parameters properties. In the Summary field drop-down menu, select Backup Type.
  1. Expand the Fields tab and select the Include All checkbox. Click SAVE.
  1. In the main panel, select the Preview tab. Click Table from drop-down menu as highlighted.
  1. In order to preview the report, the scope, and time period for the report must be set:
    1. Select EMC NetWorker as scope under Configuration > Servers > Backup Servers > EMC NetWorker. Click Time Period and select Last Day. 
    2. Click Preview.
  2. The report should appear to show a Summary Table.
  1. Click SAVE and CLOSE.
