Before beginning, have the Live Optics collector. See Download the Live Optics collector for more information. 

 

  1. Open the Live Optics collector and select Server and Cloud. Choose AWS from the list of asset types and click Next.

     
     
  2. Enter an Access Key ID and Secret Key with at least read-only permission for the supported services. See article Live Optics | Amazon Web Services | Create a temporary AWS IAM user for Live Optics collection Click Next.
     
     
  3. On the Upload Options screen, select your preferred upload method, and click Next.
     
    • Upload my collection data to the Live Optics portal automatically is selected by default.
    • I will upload later (requires upload of generated SIOKIT file) - your collection data is saved to a local SIOKIT file and must be manually uploaded to the Live Optics web service later.
    • Inventory Mode - a Microsoft Excel file is created and saved locally. No data is sent to the Live Optics web service and performance data is not collected.

       
       
  4. Enter a project name and click Next. 

     
     
  5. After the collections begins it takes a few minutes to complete. 
     
     
  6. Two selection Options:
     
    • Upload my collection data to the Live Optics portal automatically - your collection results are automatically sent to the Live Optics web service and can be viewed and downloaded immediately.
    • I will upload later (requires upload of generated SIOKIT file) - your collection was captured in an SIOKIT file which must be uploaded to the Live Optics web service to view your results.       NOTE: It is recommended that to use the Live Optics collector to upload SIOKIT files as there is a file size limit of 750MB when using the Live Optics portal to upload SIOKIT files.
       

  7. To view project results, connect to the Live Optics web portal and select your project from the Recent Projects list displayed on the main dashboard.
