Symptoms

Note: This issue can only occur when replication is configured between two PowerStore systems.


One or more of the following symptoms may occur:

  • Module restart
  • Node reboot
  • Disaster Recovery unavailability

Cause

The appliance lacks Preferred mirrors with witness configuration. That may cause the system to prematurely return from a function and potentially result in a panic due to unprocessed requests.


Note: This issue is only observed when the customer's network to the remote system is unstable or disconnected.

Resolution

A resolution for this issue is planned in a future PowerStoreOS version.

Workaround:
To avoid this issue, address the network issue.
