Instructions
Unisphere For PowerMax supports SNMPv1, SNMPv3, SNMPv3 with TLS notifications
To set up SNMP (SNMPv1 or SNMPv3 or SNMPv3 with TLS) notifications:
Steps
- Select
. - Select Alerts > Notifications to open the Notifications page.
- In the SNMP part of the panel, click Configure.
- View the SNMP trap destinations already added. The IP address/host full name, port, SNMP version and user name are displayed for each destination.
- Click Add to add an SNMP trap destination.
- Enter an IP Address or Host Name.
- Enter a port number.
- Do one of the following:
- V1
- Select the V1 radio button.
- Click OK.
- V3
- Select the V3 radio button.
- Enter a user name.
- Enter a password and confirm it.
- Enter a password phrase and confirm it.
- Click OK.
- V3 with TLS
- Select the V3 with TLS radio button.
- Click DOWNLOAD to download a Storevntd certificate.
- Click Choose File to select a Server Certificate Authority file.
- Enter a security name.
- Click OK.
- V1
- To verify the SNMP configuration, click VERIFY.
- Optional: To edit the SNMP notification configuration, select it and click
. - Optional: To delete the SNMP notification configuration, select it and click
- Click OK.

Once the above SNMP configuration done. Set the alert notification as per your requirement:

Setup the alert policy depending on which alerts you want to forward over SNMP server:

to open the Settings panel. - Select Alerts > Alert Policies.
- Select all or a specific storage system from the Select Array drop-down list.
