Impact

The primary MDM may fail over to another MDM.

Cause

In the MDM LDAP configuration, there is an option to specify the --authorizer_password. When specifying this parameter and if its given value is greater than 15 characters long, the MDM service crashes when attempting to log in using LDAP.

Resolution

The --authorizer_password value must be shortened to a password less than or equal to 15 characters long.
