Description: Storage Processor SP B has faulted (Part Number 110-558-750A, Serial Number XXXXXXXXXXXXXXX)
Cause
One of the Dell Unity Storage Processors has gone offline unexpectedly. Environmental issues such as power failures may be the trigger of such events. If there is no evidence of environmental issues around the time of the event, further review is required to determine the cause of failure. The event may also be caused by a failure of a sub component of the SP or an issue with the operating environment.
Resolution
Fix
Receiving this error code does not necessarily mean that the CPU module that is called out in the event code must be replaced. Dell Unity Storage Processors will attempt to self-heal after experiencing such events. If the Storage Processor could resume normal operations after the failure, the fault may clear with no user intervention.
In instances where the fault does not clear, Technical Support should be engaged to help determine the cause of the failure. While the error message indicates that the Storage Processor has faulted, there are multiple different sub components (such as the memory, m.2 Drive) or OE code that could be the cause of the failure.
