OS9 went End of Sale and End of Development life at the end of 2023.
End of Sale (EoS) Definition (LINK):
  • The date after which a product is no longer available for purchase from Dell Technologies or its worldwide subsidiaries and affiliates.
  • Software feature enhancements and development are complete at EoS.
  • After EoS, Dell Technologies Engineering will provide issue fixes/patches for up to 5 years at their discretion until End of Standard Support(EoSS).

Common Vulnerabilities and Exposures (CVEs):
  • OS9 is End of Security Support, meaning that Dell Technologies Engineering won't be releasing any proactive security patches
  • Customers may submit requests for CVE fixes using Tech Support
  • Security updates are reviewed on a case by case basis
