Troubleshooting
Find the server indicated in the alert message received and try to ping it:Description>The EKM Server: ecs-dev-keysecure-xx.xxx.xx.xxx is not responding. Please ensure that the server is connected. [Ref_ID : EKMServerConnectionStatus]
Check resourcesvc.log for messages about the problem EKM server:
Command:
grep /opt/emc/caspian/fabric/agent/services/object/main/log/<EKM Server Name> resourcesvc.log
Example:
The command will return output in the following format:
There was some error verifying connection to EKMServer {will have failed server name} in cluster. {will have failure detail}
The errors indicate a possible network issue in the environment. Communication between ECS and the EKM server might be blocked, or the EKM server itself might be unavailable. Verify that ECS can ping the EKM server and advise the user to verify that the EKM server is functional.
