PowerStore Alerts: PowerStore Software Component
Summary: A previously installed PowerStore software component has become incompatible with the PowerStoreOS after the OS upgrade.

- Customer will see 'PowerStore software component incompatible' alert for each of the out of date component.
- This indicates that the previously installed software component, identified by the alert, is now out of date with the upgraded PowerStoreOS.
Cause
PowerStore software components including Health Check, Language Pack and Disk Firmware are not upgraded as part of PowerStoreOS upgrade. If the cluster had any of these components installed prior to the OS upgrade, they will become out of date if the major and minor versions are different.
Resolution
It is recommended to upgrade the identified PowerStore software component to ensure system stability. KB# 000226460 PowerStore Alerts: Thin packages missing following Add Appliance describes one possible side effect of not upgrading the PowerStore component.
