PowerStore Alerts: Thin packages missing following Add Appliance”

Symptoms
When Dell PowerStore encounters a problem, an error alert is generated to help identify the issue. This article explains the different possible causes and the relevant solutions for these error alerts. If the problem is not resolved despite the provided solution, check the technical support contact options.

Cause
Upon completion of the Add Appliance wizard, several thin packages previously installed on the cluster may not be installed on the newly added appliance.
This includes packages such as:
- Health Check
- Language
- RxDefinitions
- Disk Firmware
- Hotfix
Affected non-PowerStoreOS packages not applied to the new appliance.
Resolution

| Impact | The new appliance analytics package is not synchronized with the cluster analytics package version. |
| Resolution | Solution: Download and install the release of the package that is compatible with the PowerStoreOS release running on the cluster. |
| Alert ID | CLUSTER_MONITOR_SYNC_DISK_FIRMWARE_PACKAGE_FAILURE |
| Alert Text | Failed to synchronize %(software_package_name) to the newly added appliance %(appliance_name). |
| Error Code | 0x00B01601 |
| Impact | The new appliance firmware is not synchronized with the cluster firmware versions. |
| Resolution | Solution: Download and install the release of the package that is compatible with the PowerStoreOS release running on the cluster. |

| Alert Text | Failed to synchronize %(software_package_name) to the newly added appliance %(appliance_name). |

| Impact | The new appliance health check package is not synchronized with the cluster. |
| Resolution | Solution: Download and install the release of the package that is compatible with the PowerStoreOS release running on the cluster. |

| Alert Text | Failed to synchronize %(software_package_name) to the newly added appliance %(appliance_name). |
| Error Code | 0x00B01701 |
| Impact | The new appliance hotfix is not synchronized with the cluster hotfix versions and is running a previous version. |
| Resolution | Solution: Download and install the release of the package that is compatible with the PowerStoreOS release running on the cluster. |
| Alert ID | CLUSTER_MONITOR_SYNC_LANGUAGE_PACK_PACKAGE_FAILURE |
| Alert Text | Failed to synchronize %(software_package_name) to the newly added appliance %(appliance_name). |
| Error Code | 0x00B01801 |
| Impact | The new appliance language pack is not synchronized with the cluster language pack version. If this becomes the primary appliance, the default language will be used. |
| Resolution | Solution: Download and install the release of the package that is compatible with the PowerStoreOS release running on the cluster. |
Workaround
Upon conclusion of the Add Appliance wizard, follow the steps below according to the installed version in the affected PowerStore cluster:
