DDVE cannot be removed if Cloud Snapshot Manager is managing any snapshots on it, and if DDVE is configured in an existing protection plan.

After all CSM-managed snapshots have expired from Cloud Snapshot Manager:
  1. Delete the protection plan that is linked to DDVE, or update it with info for a different DDVE, or change the associated policy to a non-DDVE-enabled policy. (Alternate Storage is not selected).
  2. Delete the DDVE storage units.
  3. Delete the DDVE.
