Symptoms

L'aggiunta di un client tramite Nuove proprietà client in NetWorker 19.7.0.3 non viene completata e viene visualizzato il seguente errore: 
Name  is not a valid host name as it cannot be resolved in DNS.
Please add it to DNS or the hosts file and flush the NetWorker server's DNS cache (dbgcommand -p  FlushDnsCache).

Cause

Il nome host ha esito negativo con la risoluzione dei nomi tramite DNS o tramite il file "hosts".

Anche se il nome host viene risolto, se questo messaggio di errore si è verificato in precedenza, la cache DNS di NetWorker impedisce l'aggiunta del client.

Resolution

Aggiungere il nome host del client al DNS (voci di inoltro e inverso) o aggiungerlo al file "hosts" utilizzando il formato:

IP Address [space/tab] FQDN [space/tab] Short Name


Seguire la procedura riportata di seguito per "svuotare" la cache DNS di NetWorker:

  1. Ottenere il PID dei processi "nsrd" e "nsrexecd" utilizzando i seguenti comandi:

Windows:

tasklist | findstr nsrd.exe
tasklist | findstr nsrexecd.exe

Linux:

ps -e | grep nsrd
ps -e | grep nsrexecd
  1. Eseguire il comando riportato di seguito a fronte del PID di "nsrd" e "nsrexecd" e utilizzare lo switch come mostrato di seguito:
dbgcommand -p  FlushDnsCache
