DD BoostはLightweight Directory Access Protocol(LDAP)をサポートしていません。DD Boostは、DD Boostに割り当てられたローカル ユーザー名を使用してストレージ ユニットにアクセスします。

DD Boostストレージ ユニットにアクセスするには、ローカル ユーザーを作成してから、ストレージ ユニットがユーザーに割り当てられているストレージ ユニットを作成します。

ローカル ユーザーを追加するには、次の手順を実行します。 
# user add <user>
                [role {admin | limited-admin | security |
                user | backup-operator | none}
                [min-days-between-change <days>]
                [max-days-between-change <days>]
                [warn-days-before-expire <days>]
                [disable-days-after-expire <days>]
                [disable-date <date>]
                [force-password-change {yes | no}]
                                       Add a new user
ローカル ユーザーをDD Boostに割り当てるには、次の手順を実行します。 
# ddboost user assign <user-name-list>
特定のユーザーを特定のストレージ ユニットに割り当てるには、次の手順を実行します。 
# ddboost storage-unit modify <storage-unit>
                [user <user-name>] [tenant-unit <tenant-unit | none>]
                [quota-soft-limit <n | none> {MiB|GiB|TiB|PiB}]

                                       Modify storage-unit user, tenant and/or

# ddboost user show
     ostuser
ストレージ ユニットSTU1を想定 
# ddboost storage-unit modify STU1 user ostuser
DD Boostは、ユーザーとストレージ ユニットごとにレジストリー値を作成し、どのユーザーがどのストレージ ユニットに割り当てられているかを追跡します。当社は、データを処理する際にこの情報を使用します。  
 
アプリケーションは、接続を確立するときに、ユーザー名と対応するユーザーのパスワードをDD Boostに提供します。
