Instructions
In a case where an additional Discovery Manager instance is running it is possible to install a second copy of reports on a single SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS). This article assumes that the Discovery Manager reports have been installed once previously and those reports reside in the "EMC Discovery Manager" folder within SSRS. To install an additional set of reports to a new folder within SSRS and point them to a different Discovery Manager database use the following steps:
When the installation is completed and SSRS web site is opened there will now be two Discovery Manager folders for reports. One points to the original instance of Discovery Manager and a second folder which points to the new instance of Discovery Manager. Users can then select the report from the appropriate folder to run reports against either instance.
- In the SourceOne Email Management installation kit, locate the Discovery Manager Reports setup files in \Setup\Reporting\Discovery Manager
- Edit the file ES1_DM_Report_Sertup.rss
- Edit line 27 to provide a new folder name where the reports will be created. Example:
ORIGINAL: "Dim FolderName As String = "EMC Discovery Manager"
EDITED: "Dim FolderName As String = "EMC Discovery Manager 2"
EDITED: "Dim FolderName As String = "EMC Discovery Manager 2"
- Save the changes to the ES1_DM_Report_Sertup.rss file
- Run the command ES1_DM_Reports_Setup.bat
- When prompted provide the target SQL Server and Discovery Manager database name.
- When prompted provide the Report Server Web Service URL
- Optionally, after the installation, revert the FolderName from step 3 back to the default.
Note: For additional information regarding the installation of reports see the SourceOne Auditing and Reporting Installation and Administration Guide.
