使用者無法在 Data Domain 中建立 MTree，且已存在「MTree」/data/col1/<mytest_mtree>」等錯誤，例如：
sysadmin@dd# mtree 建立 /data/col1/mytest_mtree MTree「/data/col1/mytest_mtree」已存在。
當然，如果具有給定名稱的 MTree 存在，則預期會出現錯誤，但有時具有相同名稱的 MTree 過去曾存在，但後來已刪除，因此「mtree create」命令仍會以相同的方式失敗。

產生此警示的原因是，有人已經建立並 （最近） 刪除了名為 mytest_mtree 的 MTree，但此後仍未執行 DD 清理。在開始清理之前，MTree 會處於「已刪除」狀態，但仍存在於 FS 中。您可以使用以下命令進行驗證，在 MTree 名稱旁還有「D」表示它已被 DD 清理刪除，但尚未執行。
若要再次建立 MTree，您只需要啟動檔案系統清理。不到一分鐘後，所有的「D」個 MTree 就會全部移除，讓您能夠再次建立 MTree。您不需要等待 DD 清理完成，因此如果不是執行清理的最佳時間，您可以停止清理：
此時，如果您再次建立 MTree，命令會成功：
sysadmin@dd3300-布倫特福德# mtree 清單 名稱預先壓縮 （GiB） 狀態 ----------------------- -------------- ------ /data/col1/backup 0.0 RW /data/col1/mytest_mtree 0.0 D
若要再次建立 MTree，您只需要啟動檔案系統清理。不到一分鐘後，所有的「D」個 MTree 就會全部移除，讓您能夠再次建立 MTree。您不需要等待 DD 清理完成，因此如果不是執行清理的最佳時間，您可以停止清理：
sysadmin@dd# filesys clean start [等待一分鐘] sysadmin@dd# filesys clean stop
此時，如果您再次建立 MTree，命令會成功：
