Symptoms

Durante uma restauração em nível de arquivo (FLR) do NetWorker VMware Protection (NVP) com o equipamento vProxy, o processo de montagem da FLR falha, registrando o seguinte erro no registro de montagem:

Cause

O layout atual do disco da VM (LVM) mostra que PV {/dev/sde1} não faz parte do VG.

Resolution

De acordo com o Guia de integração do NetWorker VMware, a FLR tem as seguintes limitações de LVM:
  • Provisionamento dinâmico do LVM (Logical Volume Management, gerenciamento de volumes lógicos)
  • LVM com qualquer volume físico (PV) não alocado a um grupo de volumes (VG)
Somente a restauração de imagem é compatível com esses backups.

Mesmo que a configuração do LVM seja corrigida para que o PV seja alocado a um VG, não será possível realizar a FLR dos backups existentes.
Os backups são realizados depois que o PV do LVM é alocado a um VG compatível com FLR; somente se o LVM não estiver usando provisionamento dinâmico.
