Symptoms
The impact can show up with different symptoms.
RecoverPoint may report no connectivity over WAN for the whole cluster or for an RPA couple.
RecoverPoint may show no connectivity error. CGs running on a specific RPA may go in error and transfer cannot start.
During RecoverPoint implementation joining cluster may fail.
Other network issue (for example MTU settings) can cause similar symptoms and must be checked as well as possible cause.
Possible errors logged in the command-line interface (get_system_status under WAN section):
ERROR: No remote communication between RPA 1 in site_Main and RPA 1 in site_DR, ERROR: No remote communication between RPA 1 in site_Main and RPA 2 in site_DR,
ERROR: No remote communication between RPA 2 in site_Main and RPA 1 in site_DR, ERROR: data link is down for RPA 2 between clusters site_Main and site_DR
During implementation the joining cluster phase may fail with a timeout error as per example from DM logs:

Cause
When LAN and WAN are configured on the same subnet due to a code issue an extra route is set to send replication traffic over eth1.
The system will randomly choose which route use and if the route over eth1 is chosen the communication issue will appear.

Resolution
A solution exists for this issue. Contact Dell Customer Support or your service representative and reference this knowledgebase solution.
Workaround:
